Match results in the BWBA MatchPlay Singles had a significant effect on the National rankings. Singles winner Lea Davis secures 8th spot but the really important change occurred at the top end of the top ten.
Kevin Woolmore has been deposed as the UK’s No1 by Bristol’s Paul Brown. Brown has been chipping away at Woolmore’s lead in the rankings for some time. However, Woolmore’s defeats in the MatchPlay and with Brown securing a place in the final saw the top two change places.
But there has been more good news in Brown’s world. He and partner Jude have just had their first child, Elijah who came into the world at 11:46am on April 20th and weighed in at 6lbs 7ozs. Heartfelt best wishes to all of them
